Otaru Cafe x Hello Kitty

After leaving the Orgel Museum, we saw this place and I was dragged inside (joking!). The 1st floor is a store with different Hello Kitty merch, while the 2nd floor had the tables. You have to order on the 1st floor before going up. I thought that, considering the place, it'd be expensive and the food regular, but it was very good! The 2nd floor was empty, so it was a relaxing simple lunch.

We came here as our girl is a big fan of the cat. Ordering of food is to be done at level 1, then you can go up to level 2 to find a table for dine in. We were fortunate as there was no queue and plenty of tables available at level 2. Food was beautiful decorated with the cat logos but taste wise was so-so. There wasnt any cooking fume smells at level 2 which was a good thing. Note that there is a sign to say you must order at least one food item per adult. There is no toilet here, you will have to use the ones at the music box museum next door. Conclusion is unless you are a big fan of the cat, there is really no point to visit this cafe in my opinion.

We came here to try their coffee and also to look at the souvenirs shop downstair.

Hello Kitty Cafe is such a cute place! While the food is average, it's definitely worth a visit if you're a Hello Kitty fan. You can enjoy afternoon tea here and take lots of adorable photos. The whole atmosphere is very cozy. The cafe is located on the second floor, and the first floor sells various Hello Kitty merchandise. The location is very convenient, close to the JR station, and only a 6-minute walk from JR Minami-Otaru Station. Next door is a music box factory that you can visit, making the overall experience fantastic!
